Contractual Working Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm
Main Purpose of Role
This role is to provide direct support to his/her Principal to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency. This will include, but will not be limited to, the main responsibilities given below. You will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- This Personal Injury Paralegal position will see the candidate support his/her Principle with a mixed caseload of CICA, RTA and EL/PL/OL claims from inception to conclusion. Claims will range from fast-track to intermediate-track and multi-track claims.
- Applicants must have previous experience of supporting their Principle’s caseload of personal injury files.
- Applicants must be proficient with the RTA and EL/PL/OL Claims Portal and DCP.
- Applicants must be familiar with Proclaim case management system.
- Fully utilise the practices case management system, together with digital dictation in preparation of correspondence and documents, organising and maintaining case files, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Communicate with clients to gather information or provide updates (under Solicitors supervision).
- To administer filing, which will include daily filing and the opening and closing of client files in accordance with the current archiving procedures and policies
- To prepare correspondence and enclosures for mailing/email
- To undertake as necessary, preparing and copying of documents
- To make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for his/her Principal
- To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care
- To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development
- To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation and information

Person Specification
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to speak to clients at all levels.
- Adaptable to new procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a flexible approach to workload.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and processes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
