Exciting news!!! Beth Mckeown, Julia Michalczyk and Dominique Owens have been promoted to Associate! We are so proud they have worked so hard and deserve the recognition. We said goodbye for now and good luck to Rebecca Collins who went off on maternity leave. We can’t wait to meet the new addition to our team, but we don’t know how we will cope without her.

Our free webinar this month was on dealing with complaints. It was hosted by Louise Murphy. We also hosted some bespoke online training sessions for clients and some in person sessions. This month’s MSB Live will be a little different. Our free legal surgery is usually hosted on the third Wednesday of every month online, but this month we are excited to announce that on September 10^th we will be bringing MSB Live to the Housing Summit at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre! Our usual MSB Live legal surgery will still be taking place online on the 25th of September 2024.

The very first Housing Summit is being held in Liverpool on the 9th and 10th September 2024 at the Exhibition Centre, ACC Liverpool, Kings Dock, Liverpool.

MSB are proud to announce we will bring MSB Live to those joining day 2 of the Housing Summit from 10.30am – 12.30pm in the legal surgery theatre.

MSB’s Social Housing and Regeneration team will be hosting a LIVE legal surgery as part of Housing in Practice, where expert solicitors will answer legal queries, from questions in respect to housing management, asset and property management, to governance and compliance. A team of specialist housing lawyers will be in attendance to answer any burning questions that arise during the conference, or even to just go over niggling cases. MSB are here to help.

We can’t wait to showcase our amazing MSB Live.

We have been celebrating South Asian Heritage month which runs between 18^th July and 17^th August. The highlight of the celebrations was our feast day where Aishath Ahmed and Jessica Masih and their families cooked up an amazing feast for us to enjoy. We raised money for Southport Dance Group Emergency Fund. We are proud to support causes that are important to our communities, so if you have any projects you would like us to get involved with, please contact thomasstockton@msbsolicitors.co.uk.

We have been out and again this month, Aishath Ahmed, Abbie Eves and Alicia Manchester attended the Merseyside Junior Lawyer Division awards where MSB were shortlisted for the supporting young talent award.

Our Book Club reads this month are ‘Lover Birds’ by Leanne Egan, ‘Imposter’ by LJ Ross, ‘The Burnout’ by Sophie Kinsella and ‘Yellowface’ by Rebecca F Kuang.
