This month, Andy Moore, Amy Tagoe and Rachael Payne delivered a free virtual training session on Leasehold Breaches. Louise Murphy also was involved in the Liverpool Law Society Annual Disrepair Conference delivering a talk on drafting witness statements in disrepair matters.

Amy Tagoe, along with other MSB colleagues, took part in the Dragon Dancing at the Chinese New Year parade earlier this month – it was fantastic to be part of the celebrations.
One of our trainees, Brook Holroyd is moving into our Employment team to continue her training. We wish her the very best of luck with her next seat!

Housing Law News
Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (Commencement No 3) Regulations
On 31st January 2022 Section 3 in relation to children as victims of domestic abuse came into force.
Levelling up White Paper
On 2nd February 2022 the DLUHC published its white paper on levelling up. The keys points were in relation to housing were that the 80/20 rule will be scrapped with funding being diverted to transforming brownfield sites in the North and Midlands and the government will commit further to building genuinely affordable social housing.
CPR Part 65 – ASB
Amendments to the CPR come into force on 6th April 2022 with regards to applications for demotion / suspension of right to buy claims and for applications for injunctions under Part 1 the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.
