Amelia-Jade Thompson

Overview

Amelia has a passion for legal matters involving children, fully appreciating the impact the involvement of Social Services can have on families. Amelia often represents parents and family members who have faced allegations of physical, emotional and sexual harm. Clients respect her expertise in this complex area of law and her sensitive and non-judgmental approach.  Amelia also undertakes work involving domestic abuse. Amelia is proud to be from Liverpool and has built links with a number of local charities in the area, endeavouring to ensure vulnerable clients have access to support, in addition to the legal advice they receive, throughout the stressful process of court proceedings.

Amelia is a member of MSB's LGBTQ+ Committee. She is also committed to ensuring junior members of staff feel supported and enjoys mentoring paralegals and trainees at the outset of their legal careers.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

Amelia is committed to MSB’s approach to Environmental, Social and Governance. She runs pro-bono surgeries believing access to justice should be available to all, and sits as a Trustee at Kinship Carers Liverpool.
