Rachael Payne
Solicitor
Rachael works in the Private and Social Housing team dealing with no faut evictions (Section 21) and rent arrear possessions (Section 8) as well as anti-social behaviour injunctions, defending disrepair, and access cases.
Rachael qualified as a Solicitor in 2019. During her training contract Rachael was awarded 2018 Trainee Solicitor of the Year by the Mersey Junior Lawyer Division. Rachael was also nominated as 2017 Paralegal of the year and was a 2020 NQ Solicitor nominee.
Rachael has experience in civil litigation dealing personal injury including multi-track road traffic accidents, clinical negligence, and group litigation. Rachael also case handled housing disrepair claims working for the Claimant before moving to the Private and Social Housing team at MSB Solicitors.
Rachael founded and chairs the MSB Book Club with regular book reviews and attends local author events. The idea behind the Book Club was to ensure staff did take some time away from their computers. Rachael takes part in any MSB fundraising for charities and took part the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Dragon Boat Race as well as contributing to MSB’s ESG commitment by being involved with Social Housing landlord clients and schemes that assist tenants such as helping with garden maintenance.
