Our work
Dealing with the pressures that come with having a loved one who is suffering with mental health issues can be incredibly distressing, so it is always preferable to avoid the added stress that comes with the legal repercussions of them being unable to make their own decisions.
The Court of Protection was created under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. It has power over the property, finances and welfare of people who are unable to make their own decisions and is an incredibly important tool to have in place, to ensure that your loved ones can be relieved of any unnecessary distress.
Areas we cover including:
- Applying to the Court of Protection for a Deputyship Order
- Acting as a Professional Deputy
- Applications relating to additional Trustees
- Statutory Will applications

Funding options
Legal costs can often hinder individuals from taking advice. If you are in a position where you need to apply to the Court of Protection to help with the management of your loved one’s affairs, then your loved one’s assets will cover the legal costs and Court fee.
There are ongoing costs with the Court whilst the Order remains in place and it is therefore essential to take advice before making an application to the Court of Protection.
